La saga des Géants
L’Odyssée de la mer
Ce spectacle a été présenté du 20 au 22 avril 2012 à l’invitation de la Ville de Liverpool. Une création destinée à célébrer le centenaire du naufrage du célèbre Titanic - 800 000 spectateurs.
Les icebergs sont des chasseurs de bateaux et les habitants de Liverpool d’immenses enfants les yeux remplis d’espoir et de révolte. Pour le Titanic insubmersible son premier voyage fut aussi son dernier.
Mais venons-en tout de suite à l’histoire d’un passager particulier embarqué en secret : il fut chargé de nuit à l’abri des regards – c’était un géant de 10 m de hauteur capable de traverser le temps, parti rejoindre sa fille la Petite Géante sur l’autre continent.
Les Géants ne vieillissent ni ne grandissent, ils restent stationnaires avec l’âge qu’ils ont pour l’éternité, du moins s’ils ne meurent pas.
La catastrophe eut lieu dans l’Atlantique, tous les gens connaissent les détails de l’accident. Le paquebot était la fierté de Liverpool et beaucoup de métiers de la ville étaient recrutés surtout pour s’occuper de la maintenance du navire et du bien-être des passagers.
Mais revenons-en à notre passager géant coincé dans une cale du bâtiment : il reçut de plein fouet le scalpel de l’iceberg. La mer s’engouffrait avec une telle violence qu’il lui fut impossible de bouger. Prisonnier il fit avec le Titanic une chute vertigineuse de 4 000 m.
Nous pensons que sachant sa mort proche il profita une dernière fois de cet ascenseur sous-marin pour se reposer enfin dans un nuage de poussière. A la surface les survivants tétanisés attendaient des miracles – il y’eut des rescapés, cela aussi est connu.
Quand la Petite Géante reçu la nouvelle elle chercha son oncle le frère du Grand Géant – en l’écoutant l’oncle prit une décision qui pouvait lui prendre un siècle. D’abord confectionner une tenue de scaphandrier – Ensuite, chercher l’épave couchée au fond de la mer.
Puis enterrer son frère au fond de l’océan et surtout ramener la lettre que le Grand Géant avait écrite à la Petite Géante. Voilà pourquoi il traina la malle-poste du Titanic pour rapporter le courrier à Liverpool, marchant de longues années au fond de l’océan.
Bien que tous ces événements tragiques puissent endommager le moral de la Petite Géante, elle décida par défi de venir au rendez-vous.
En lisant les magazines avant d’entreprendre son voyage, elle fut consciente de deux autres mythologies présentes à Liverpool : la musique des Beatles qu’elle découvre et l’incroyable folie furieuse du football de cette ville rebelle.
Alors elle décida de faire une croisière dans la ville sur un bateau qui vogue sur la route et d’installer son premier campement entre les deux stades au Stanley parc dans le quartier nord de la ville. Par magie, quelques heures avant sa venue, un geyser jailli du sol dans le centre-ville salua son arrivée.
